G.I. Snackin’

I have a couple of entries to write on ice cream and popsicle treats I have recently discovered.  I wrote one of them already and lost it, but I will try again this weekend.

In the meantime: SNACKING

I am totally a snacker, and can’t abide any diet that won’t let me snack.  Here is a list of some of the G.I. friendly treats that have kept me from getting too crabby during the day:

Dry Roasted Peanuts

Sunflower Seeds

Teriyaki Beef Jerky

Low Fat Microwave Popcorn (this is Yellow Light not Green, but I adore popcorn and would be miserable without it!)

No Sugar Added popsicles (Dryer’s)

Low Fat Laughing Cow cheese with whole grain crackers

Sugar Free licorice (prefer black but the red is easier to find)

Sugar Free gummi bears

Sugar Free wafer style cookies

Sugar Free jell-o with fruit inside

Tortilla chips made with wheat tortillas (fried them up myself)

Pita chips with hummus

Grapes, strawberries, or cut-up apples
